A drop off box for mail-in ballots was just set on fire near Los Angeles, California. Officials estimate that over 200 completed ballots were inside the box when it was set on fire. The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the incident, alongside the FBI and Attorney General.
Investigators are currently reviewing nearby surveillance footage. So far, no footage has been released to the public. The Los Angeles County Registrar’s Office is actively working on identifying the impacted voters, but they are unlikely to be able to vote by mail again.
