In an epic victory for those opposed to statewide lockdown orders, Wisconsin’s Supreme Court has just ruled their statewide “stay-at-home” orders illegal. The case was decided by a 4-3 decision. According to the Associated Press, the decision “essentially reopens the state, lifting caps on the size of gatherings, allowing people to travel as they please and allowing shuttered businesses to reopen, including bars and restaurants”.
The implications of the ruling are immense. Not only does the ruling essentially reopen the state of Wisconsin (with the exception of schools), but it also establishes a precedent that other states don’t have the legal authority to impose said restrictions.
