The University of Delaware has received multiple requests from journalists to release a collection of Joe Biden’s records from when he was a Senator. The collection was donated back in 2011 and was supposed to be released after the completion of Biden’s term as Vice President. Instead, the university has refused to release the collection. This is significant due to the fact that the collection likely contains Tara Reade’s orgiginal sexual assault complaint against the presumpive Democrat nominee Joe Biden.
The University of Delaware hasn’t been entirely silent on the issue. They released a statement that states that the collection will not be released until Biden has been removed from public life for two years. This means that unless Biden either retires or dies, the files will not be released. Joe Biden could allow for the files to be released early, but he has refused to do so. Biden made the bold claim that not only did Tara Reade’s complaint not exist in the University files, but also that there are “no personal files” in the collection. According to the University, there are over 1,875 boxes of paper as well as around 415 gigabytes of records in the collection. If the collection is released, Biden will likely be proven as a liar and will be further pressed on the issue, as he should be. It is essential that these files be released. The public deserves to know the truth.
