U.S. Police Begin To Use Drones Donated From China

DJI Enterprise, a Chinese based company with links to the Chinese government, has donated large amounts of equipment used for monitoring purposes to police departments across the country. Departments across the country intend to utilize the donated drones to ensure that people maintain social distancing. The donated drones are able to detect temperature, and will likely be utilized for monitoring purposes across the nation.

Not only is this intrusive, but it is also extremely dangerous for police departments to accept the drones. Back in 2019, DJI Enterprise was banned from all U.S. Military purchases due to security threats, as well as ties to the Communist Chinese government. The threat posed by DJI is supposedly so high that the company has been referred to as a national security threat. Despite this, these drones will soon be observing Americans across the nation.
