Do-Nothing Democrat, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was on Fox News Sunday with host Chris Wallace when she came up with the most ridiculous defense of her comments in late February calling for people to ‘come out and join us’ in Chinatown amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Pelosi has shamefully claimed that President Trump didn’t act fast enough and his inaction ‘cost thousands of lives’.
“If the president underplayed the threat in the early days, Speaker Pelosi, didn’t you as well?” Wallace asked.
Pelosi’s response was ridiculous.
“No,” the congresswoman responded. “What we were trying to do is end the discrimination, the stigma that was going out against the Asian American community. And in fact, if you will look, the record will show that our Chinatown has been a model of containing and preventing the virus.”
Wallace pressed Pelosi further by interjecting. “Forgive me, don’t you think that when you’re out walking without any masks — I understand this is February, not April, when this happened — and saying that there’s no threat [and] it’s perfectly safe there, weren’t you also adding to this perception that there wasn’t such a threat generally?”
Pelosi seemed stunned that a member of the press would dare ask her such a question. “No, I was saying that you should not discriminate against Chinese Americans as some in our administration were doing.” Pelosi said.
As everyone knows, Pelosi had no clue what she was doing when she visited San Francisco’s Chinatown on February 24th to protest Trump’s travel ban from China. A move that experts on both sides of the aisle said worked in slowing the spread of the virus that originated in Wuhan, China.
“We think it’s very safe to be in Chinatown and hope that others will come,” Pelosi said during her visit.
